Gyre is a work that investigates the transient nature of light and the transformations that take place throughout the day. These fluctuations impact on the movement of shadows within and around the work and affect the perceived shape and colour, dimensions and boundaries of the work. These changes can be dramatic or subtle and affect the how the work is experienced. The work is subject to the vagaries of light and so will be experienced differently by everyone. It therefore effects the memory of encounter and the accumulative experience of encounters.
