Blindside Staff Role - Community Coordinator

Blindside is seeking applications for the position of Community Coordinator. This is a part-time role of 10 hours per week over two days (one day to be in the Gallery, hours 12pm - 6pm, Wednesday - Friday and another day to be flexible), with monthly meetings and some weekend work and after hours at openings and events as required.

The Community Coordinator will work closely with the Gallery Coordinator, the Blindside Committee members and Artistic Directors to administer Blindside’s annual artistic program, gallery operations and communications.

The Community Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of a broad range of volunteer, educational and public programs, as well as various operational and administrative tasks. The Community Coordinator will work closely with the Gallery Coordinator to assist with proposal-based, curated and partnered projects and exhibitions.

The ideal applicant is passionate about contemporary creative practice, community building, the role of art in a social and political context, and has at least 1-2 years work experience in the sector.
