Blindside Studios

Blindside is offering a small number of artist studios in Gallery 2 for Jan–June 2026. These compact workspaces provide 24/7 access and a dedicated base for sustained practice. Utilities and internet are included.The studios are suited to artists working with visual, written or digital practices who are comfortable in a semi-shared environment. As Gallery 2 sits alongside our exhibition program in Gallery 1, applicants should ensure their practice can work in parallel with regular gallery activity.


Studio Fees

5.95m² — $325/month

11.9m² — $625/month

$200 refundable bond


What’s Included

Studios include 24/7 access, electricity, water and internet. There are no required outcomes. Artists may host talks or informal showings of work if appropriate.

Professional Development Opportunities

Studio artists will have access to optional support across the six-month period, including crit sessions, mentorship from the Blindside team and visits from curators.

Accessibility

Studios are accessed through the office and are not comfortably wheelchair accessible. Support dogs are welcome. Studios are not fully self-contained.


How to Apply

The EOI is brief, designed to take 5–10 minutes to complete. Short sentences and dot points are welcome. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to interview.
