The Blindside Board of Directors are seeking applications for multiple non-executive roles with our volunteer team. This fantastic opportunity is best suited to Artists, Writers, Curators, and Arts Workers looking to grow their professional careers within the arts sector, while supporting one of Naarms longest running Artist Run Initiatives!

The Vice Chair supports the work of the Board to deliver on Blindside’s mission and vision as a leading platform for new and critical dialogues, contemporary art and bold ideas, and creating paid opportunities for emerging artists. The Vice Chair plays an active role in working towards a sustainable future for the gallery. You will collaborate with Board members on projects to expand networks and develop partnerships, explore fundraising initiatives, and support the delivery of innovative public programs.

The Vice Chair assumes the Chair responsibilities if they are absent or on leave, such as leading the monthly Board meetings.

Vice Chair Position Description

The Vice Treasurer works with the Treasurer in an advisory role throughout the year to assist with bookkeeping compliance and accuracy. The Vice Treasurer assumes the Treasurer’s responsibilities if they are absent or on leave, and acts as an ongoing advisor in the event of a new Treasurer.

Blindside is seeking a Vice Treasurer who has qualifications and / or experience in bookkeeping, accounting, general management and / or tax accountancy.

The Fundraising Coordinator drives our annual calendar of fundraising events, manages our donation platforms and nurtures donor relationships. This work is crucial to ensuring Blindside’s ongoing sustainability, and plays a key role in our financial strategy.


We are seeking candidates with philanthropic and fundraising experience, and our ideal candidate has extensive stakeholder engagement experience.

The Marketing Coordinator develops Blindside’s marketing strategy with the goal of promoting the annual program – gallery exhibitions, public programs and digital works – to increase gallery and website visitation. This may also include publicity opportunities.

In addition, the Marketing Coordinator works closely with the Chair, Social Media Coordinator, Fundraising Coordinator and Graphic Designer on the annual donation campaign and the B-SIDE fundraising campaign.
