BLINDSIDE 2026 DONATION CAMPAIGN
3 Jun–30 Nov 2026
For over 22 years, Blindside has contributed to the vibrant arts ecology of Melbourne/Naarm. As an independent, not-for-profit, artist-run initiative, Blindside continues to support artists by providing mentorship and material support; opportunities for the development of diverse, experimental, and rigorous work; and a space to build meaningful connections with our diverse community of audiences, practitioners, and partnered arts organisations.
Currently, initiatives like Blindside are navigating increasing precarity. Rising operational costs and diminishing arts funding make it harder than ever for independent artist-run spaces to keep the lights on, despite the essential role they play in the culture of the city.
That’s why we’re raising $10,000 to help secure Blindside’s future and continue generating pivotal opportunities for artists and their careers. Every contribution, big or small, is crucial to support Blindside in delivering an annual program that forges professional and creative pathways for artists, curators and writers.
Blindside alumni include Atong Atem, Elyas Alavi, Moorina Bonini, Andy Butler, Arini Byng, Adam Cruickshank, Lara Chamas, Nicholas Currie, Matilda Davis, Tara Denny, Jemi Gale, Matthew Harris, Honey Long & Prue Stent, Diego Ramirez, Scotty So, Meagan Streader, Jake Adam Treacy, Alex Walker and Kate Wallace.
Your contribution will help steer the legacy into 2027 – supporting the delivery of the Blindside Open Callout program, in addition to projects such as DEBUT, ARIXCHANGE, our Emerging Curator and Artist Mentorships, and many more exciting opportunities in partnership with fellow arts orgs.
Help us keep independent art alive. All donations over $2 are tax deductible.
