From the 27th November until 7th December, Blindside presents our annual fundraiser B-SIDE, an online auction featuring artworks for sale from 50+ Australian emerging, mid-career and established artists.

Blindside, Naarm / Melbourne’s renowned artist-run, not-for-profit contemporary art space, presents a fundraiser with a difference. We have teamed up with our esteemed alumni artists and artist community to create an art auction where we will share equally in the sale price of their work, offering new and seasoned collectors the opportunity to support artists directly, while contributing to the future of Blindside.

Focusing on accessibility through form and price, artworks on offer include drawing, painting, photography, prints, sculpture, and ceramics. Plus, many other stunning and unique pieces guaranteed to light up your home, study or studio space, with reserve prices ranging from $100 to $2,000.

This year our auction website features a range of instant purchase items, such as artist edition prints, artist books, Blindside limited edition merchandise, artbook packs and raffle tickets with generous prizes to be won.

B-SIDE fundraising supports Blindside in its core organisational mission: supporting emerging artists through free exhibition space and artist fees. In a time of increasing economic pressure, and in a year when Blindside’s key funding has drastically dropped, our fundraising efforts are more crucial than ever. B-SIDE is an engaging response to these challenges, offering an opportunity for audiences to collect works from emerging and established artists while supporting Blindside, ensuring that this important artist-run initiative continues to thrive as a platform and exhibiting space for innovative contemporary art.

Our goal is to raise $15–$20K. These funds will provide core organisational funding to secure the 2026 artistic program, ensure cost-free exhibition spaces for artists, and an artist-fee awarded to exhibitors.
