B–SIDE Art Auction 2026

From the 1st to the 24th of October, Blindside presents our annual fundraiser B-SIDE, an in-gallery and online auction featuring artworks for sale from 175+ Australian emerging, mid-career and established artists.

Blindside, Naarm’s renowned artist-run, not-for-profit contemporary art space, presents a fundraiser with a difference. We have teamed up with our esteemed alumni artists, artistic community, and invited guest artists to create an art auction where we will share equally in the sale price of their work, offering new and seasoned collectors the opportunity to support artists directly, while contributing to the future of Blindside.

This year Blindside presents significant pieces by Aliza Nickle, ASHE, Callum McGrath, Caoife Power, Chunxiao Qu, Diego Ramirez, EJ Son, Felix Oliver, Gillian Kayrooz, Hootan Heydari, Khaled Sabsabi, MJ Flamiano, Mythra Schwartz, Scotty So, The Huxleys and many more!

B-SIDE fundraising supports Blindside in its core organisational mission: supporting emerging artists through free exhibition space and paying artist fees. In a time of increasing economic pressure, funding losses, and relocation from our home in the Nicholson Building due to unsustainable costs, our fundraising efforts are more crucial than ever.

B-SIDE is an engaging response to these challenges, offering an opportunity for audiences to collect works from emerging and established artists while supporting Blindside, ensuring that this important artist-run initiative continues to thrive as a platform and exhibiting space for innovative contemporary art.

All funds raised will provide core organisational funding to secure the 2027 artistic program, ensure cost-free exhibition spaces for artists, and an artist-fee awarded to exhibitors.
